Balancing Family and Work

Ok, shall I say I am now a bonafide blogger?  Oh definitely not with one blog!  Well, not yet but will I still have the time to blog?  I am a mompreneur and as I continue to expand my business network I have come to realize how blogging can supplement a business.

Owning a brand has been my dream for many years.  Pre married life I worked for Click Licensing Asia.  Oh, there was never a dull moment working for Click.  The work was stressful though the energy it exuded was inspiring.  My work experience at Click was truly edifying and I credit the knowledge I have in licensing to my former boss Marilu Corpus , who in my opinion is one of the best Intellectual Licensing gurus in the Licensing Industry.  Click Licensing Asia exposed me to ways of expressing creative ideas and when I left the company I fantasized about owning my own brand someday.

I married, started a family and so my dreams of creating my own brand was put on the back burner.  My husband and I were blessed with two beautiful children.  When our second child was born, the urge to pursue my dream lingered in my thoughts and so began my journey to realizing my vision.

Working full time for my business will never be a reality.   My reality is balancing family and work.  I love my work; I love the fact that I rediscovered my business passion however family comes first.  Having said that, the effort I will/can allot to my business will be reined back.

Someday my dream to build the Smock Couture brand will come to full fruition.  I know the journey will have many stops, turns, detours, delays….but I’ll get there.
